As a nonprofit executive, I have dedicated my career to serving my community, especially in areas that support our most vulnerable populations. Driven by a desire to serve, I apply a mission-focused mindset to team leadership, donor/community engagement, program delivery, and board member collaboration. During times of uncertainty or unparalleled need, I keep organizations focused and steady by maintaining mission centricity and operational efficiency. I am an approachable servant leader who is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and work alongside employees, volunteers, and other community groups. Houston, our community donors and board are considered integral partners in our organization; I promote their involvement by providing clear governance structures and opportunities to serve. On the financial side, I deploy rigorous controls and reporting protocols to mitigate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and forge a culture of accountability. I also orchestrate creative project initiatives, capitalize on grant opportunities, and design awareness campaigns that develop consistent, growing revenue streams. All these activities enable me to grow existing programs and drive new efforts to provide critical opportunities for our community.
